schoolBrains' projects are conducted using our four-phase implementation
methodology. Our approach emphasizes early design validation to ensure that
your schoolBrains solution achieves your desired education objectives. This
phased approach and high-level deliverables are depicted in the diagram below.

Phase One: Project Definition
We kick-off implementation with a Project Definition Workshop that is
facilitated by your schoolBrains project manager and attended by your
schoolBrains project team. The goal of the workshop is to clearly document the
short and long-term objectives for your schoolBrains system - and to align
those goals you're your school's overall strategic plan. Collectively, the
workshop participants identify, review and define the requirements for your
schoolBrains system to provide you with the maximum value. Your
schoolBrains project manager will develop a project plan that accurately
reflects project scope, project resources, and project time constraints. The
schoolBrains Project Definition workshop approach facilitates collaboration
among your key stakeholders and designs a game plan for your project that
ensures the highest degree of success.
Phase Two: Project Design
During the Project Design phase, we use a facilitated workshop approach to
determine all the necessary ingredients that are required to make the
schoolBrains system work as effectively as possible for your school. These
factors include, but are not limited to, integration with other systems, data
definition and mapping, content, analysis tools and reporting. Upon completion
of this phase, the project teams will have a working document that communicates
the total project requirements and system design.
Phase Three: Project Configuration
The objective of the Project Configuration phase is to construct a ready-to-use
schoolBrains system that replicates all of
the design features agreed to in Phase 2. Your database is tailored to address
your specific data requirements and initial student data is entered. Interfaces
to/from other software applications or websites are developed. Integrated
system testing is performed to ensure that the individual components achieve
the expected results.
Phase Four: Project Deployment
Prior to the deployment of the your schoolBrains system, members of the school
project team perform user testing to ensure that the solution is fully
functional, satisfies the predefined requirements, and achieves the predefined
District objectives - before it is delivered. Training is provided to
constituents in a phased approach, i.e. Group 1 may be 3 or 4 teachers who are
most interested in using technology and understanding the implications of
comparative analysis and data. Group 2 may be an entire class-level of
teachers, etc. schoolBrains system support processes are clearly defined
between Aptium and your school - and thoroughly prepared so they are ready to
execute when the system is fully adopted and running throughout your school
system.
